Kigoma, Tanzania is a beautiful equatorial region filled with coconut palms, brilliant sunsets, and stunning wildlife. Kigoma is also home to thousands of village children who may never have the opportunity to go to school. However, the future is bright for the children of Lugunga and Kampande. In these two villages and four others, workers with Christian Missions in Many Lands have partnered with local leaders to establish private kindergartens so that children will be eligible for public education. These schools are affordable even to the tightest village income, and in addition to instruction, the students receive lunch every day. The students are not the only ones who benefit-- these schools also create employment opportunities for teachers. The schools improve the face of the community now and create an investment for the future.
